Harrogate Summer A Grade Meet

Regional 1 achieved a whopping 104 PB's out of 120 Swims, 1 Speeding Ticket, 15 Gold Medals, 9 Silver Medals and 10 Bronze Medals.

Another fantastic meet, Great Effort!!!

Most of you are starting to get the idea of how to pace on the 200's now. For some of you it looks like your race plan is coming together as we get close to the end of the season.

A special well done to those swimmers that were successful in achieving Yorkshire times for October and North Eastern times for December.

Those of you who achieved any additional qualifying times for Welsh Nationals should be able to enter the extra races online once the ASA rankings are updated with your new times from Harrogate. The ASA rankings are usually updated by 10pm on a Tuesday night following a competition. Please remember all entries for Wales must be done by 12 noon on Wednesday 26th June.

Just a reminder for anyone who competed in the North Eastern Counties. Please bring your team kit and any medals you have won tonight for a team photo at 6.30 pm for the Evening Post.

Welsh Summer Nationals Deposits

Deposits for Welsh Summer Nationals will be collected on the next two Mondays; 17^th June & 24^th June.

A minimum of £40 will need to be paid to secure your place.

There will be members of the committee & team managers in the Denison Room on both Mondays to take your payments. Further information will also be passed on when payment is made (this will include the final costs for each meet).

Summer Break

Hi All,

Quite a few of you have asked when the dates of the summer break are. I can now confirm that he summer break for the Swim Training Scheme will be as follows; Last sessions Friday 26^th July and return to training Monday 19^th August – Details of Morning sessions will be communicated over the summer.

An Outstanding NER's

After two long tiring weekends of competing it was all worth while. Some outstanding swims over the weekend, you all stepped up and got stuck into your races challenging some of the best swimmers in the North East.

Regional 1 achieved a total of 29 PB's out of 42 swims and came away with 2 Gold Medals, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze Medals and 10 final swims.

The Club stormed to the top of the Medals Table achieving 60 Golds, 37 Silvers and 23 Bronze Medals. Our biggest total before this year was in the 2012 Championships where we won 35 Golds, 22 Silvers, 28 Bronze Medals. As you can see this a massive improvement in twelve months. Not only were the medals very good but some of the performances were excellent. Fingers crossed these results will carry through to the Welsh Nationals. Well Done Everyone!
