A few little Reminders....

Hello,

A few things over the last couple of weeks that me and Kevin would like to remind you about are listed below:
  • Our sessions start at least 10 minutes before we get in the pool. This is vital to loosen yourself off before you get in to swim, so please make sure you are here for 10 minutes before the session wherever possible.
  • Water bottles, Please make sure they end up in the bin when you finished at the end of a session, and do not leave them on the side of the pool. We have had a complaint about the mess we have left at the end of a session, and it is the swimmers responsibility to move the bottles.
  • I have also noticed a lot of swimmers not paying attention when me and Kevin are talking, this sounds pathetic and a little bit picky, but when you have to repeat yourself 4 times to the people that didn't listen this gets a little annoying, and is a waste of time.
Please note this does by all means not apply to the majority of swimmers, but if you can make them aware of these points above we would greatly appreciate it.

Keep up the hard work and remember, ’Practice doesn't make perfect, Perfect Practice does'.

Yours,

Ryan.

This weeks quote of the week is a special one!

Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone has continued to push themselves in training whilst I have been away, I will see you all tonight.

This weeks quote of the week is my favorite quote by Muhammad Ali...

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."

So I decided to go all out and test my ICT skills at the same time, and pop this video in here, hope you like this weeks quote!

Start of Sessions

Hello Everyone.

We would like to just back up the fact that we do expect all swimmers on poolside 10 minutes before the session in most circumstances ready to stretch. Research and our experience has shown that you get a lot more out of a session, and the capability of the swimmers body is much higher if you 'loosen off' before training. This will then, in turn, aid the long term athlete development of a child.

Thanks for your co-operation.

Ryan & Kev.

Information about the weekend, PB's etc....

Hello Everyone!

Kevin has finally managed to update all the times from Harrogate and the % off NER sheets are now UPDATED. So click the usual links and it will be the updated info. I am working on a spreadsheet that is a lot more efficient and beings all the data together, so that should be good.

Kevin wants to remind you that training is on as normal over the weekend and if you are swimming at the gala on the day of training do not come but you will still get your mark.

Hope that clears things up.

Yours,

Ryan and Kev.

The Long awaited....

Hello.

Good luck for the weekend everyone, please look at the previous posts in the Gala's section for what we expect for the weekend.

Welsh Nationals

Hello Everyone,

Kevin received a message from Paul today asking him to pass a message on to all the parents that there will be a meeting on this Monday night at 7.15pm, the room is yet to be arranged and will be posted on the noticeboard at the pool on Monday night. The meeting is for the parents of the children who put their names down for the Welsh Nationals only.

I went away with the club in 2008 to this meet and I must say, if you are given the opportunity to go it really is a fantastic meet, I throughly enjoyed myself and it was my most successful meet in my career. I will also be going this year as a coach so I really want to push our squad to attend the meet, as I think the swimmers will gain alot out of it on many levels, team building, national event experience, and some fantastic swims hopefully.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Yours,

Ryan.

New Swimmers!

New Swimmers!

Welcome to C Central.  Congratulations on your promotion into this squad.  Some of you may be a little nervous and may find the training a little harder than what you are used to in D Group.  It may take a few weeks for your bodies to get used to all those extra lengths, but don't worry you will all be fine.

Just want to say thank you for all the kind presents and cards me and Ryan have received over the last few days from the swimmers who have moved to their new squads.  It really does make the coaching worthwhile.
