The team returned from Corby triumphant in retaining the Grand Final Championship for a 4th year running. This equals the current record of 4 straight wins!
Well done to all the swimmers who took part in the Junior Swim League. After 3 rounds of swimming Leeds came out the strongest in all 3 rounds. It certainly was an exciting afternoon with lots of fast racing and fun. It was great to see you all supporting each other and working together as a team. An overall outstanding performance topped off by Ben Rayner and Tia Ward setting records in the 50m Butterfly (11yrs) and 50m Backstroke (10yrs) respectively, as well as Top Boy and Top Girl in ther Age Groups. The 12 yrs Girls Team also set a new Event record in the 4 x 50m Freestyle Team. Not to be outdone the 12yrs Boys Team who set a new record in the 4 x 50m Medley Relay.
Hi all,
There is going to parade on Monday 25th November, to our membership by this years successful Junior League team. The start of training will be delayed by 10 minutes and start at 6.40pm. All swimmers should be on poolside for 6.20pm to observe the parade. Every child who has represented the club in any one of the 3 rounds will be recognised for the their contribution.
Therefore swimmers who were part of the Junior League team will be required to bring their Junior League T-shirts, and preferably some shorts and footwear (as they walk around the pool). The parade shall take no longer than 10 – 15 minutes.
Those children who achieved a Top of Age Group award should bring their trophies in and be recognised also.
Thanks
