RAG Xmas Training

Hi All,

We would just like to say a big thank you for all the wonderful Christmas gifts and cards we received from you all. We hope you all have a great Xmas and are looking forward to coming back to training after the short break.

Despite the absence of competitions, we have tried to ensure that training continues as 'normal'. We are training as we normally would and have tried to implement Level 'X' Racing where competitions would normally take place. We have plans to undertake further Level 'X' events around the time that Yorkshire Championships would normally take place. We feel that this approach will ensure that the group is as best prepared as possible for when competitions do return.

I appreciate it has been a difficult training period for the group, with a lack of competition and another lockdown. Well done to everyone for staying focussed in a time of so much uncertainty.

Equipment Reminder

Can you please take some time to look at kit bags over Christmas and give equipment a good clean! We have several individuals who keep reminding me that snorkels have gone mouldy! Please also take this opportunity to check for any missing equipment and replace it as soon as possible so that we can make a good start to the new cycle!

Christmas Training

You should have all received the training schedule for over Christmas. Normal training resumes from 4^th January 2021. Below is a reminder of when Training is on over Christmas and the New Year.

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year

Good afternoon everyone,

We hope you are all remaining well and healthy.

The Swim Training Scheme would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Although this year has been a challenge for everyone in these difficult circumstances, we would like to thank you all for your continued support and understanding throughout these unprecedented times. We hope that we will be back to normality as soon as we can when it is safe to do so.

Level X Results - Day 4 (Saturday 19th December)

Well done everyone, some more great results from this round of Level X. We are very proud of you all for getting stuck back into training and producing some really good results.

Keep training hard over the next few weeks as we are planning on doing another Level X for the Regional Squads when the Yorkshire Championships would usually be in February.

We are looking at the same schedule but adding the 800 & 1500m races in for the older swimmers in the squad.
