City of Leeds New Year Meet 2025

Hello all,

We hope you're well.

Great news! We have been working hard in the background to move the cancelled New Year meet from Sunday to this weekend, Sunday 12th January and it's looking like we will have enough staff to cover the key areas. All events and entries are as published.

The only downside is that we do not have the use of the dive pit facility for warm up and cool down until 12:00pm.

We appreciate that it's short notice and that you may have other things booked in so we will of course honour any withdrawals. If you are UNABLE to attend on Sunday, please email leedsentries@gmail.com with your swimmer's name and which events they are withdrawing from. We will then be able to process a refund for you.

For those chasing Yorkshire times, we are in talks with the Yorkshire board to try to get some late entries included, particularly the 1500m. There is no guarantee this will happen but we are trying our best for you. We will keep you updated on our progress.

Lastly, we will need volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the event, from timekeepers to marshalling. If you are able to help, please email Anna.darnell79@gmail.com.

All Spectator Tickets for Leeds & Sheffield must be purchased in advance via our online system. We will not be accepting payment on the door. Leeds: here (open 10:00am, 11th January) / Sheffield: here (open 10:00am, 18th January)

No ticket will be required to view only the Mixed Sex 800m Freestyle at Sheffield

Yorkshire Championships - Relay Teams 2025

Please only reply if you are unavailable for selection.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The Yorkshire Championships Relay Event will take place on Sunday 23rd February 2025 at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield.

City of Leeds Swimming Club will be selecting a number of relay teams to compete in Medley and Freestyle team events, across the following age groups:

9/10yrs
11/12yrs
13/14yrs
15/16yrs
Open (13yrs+)

In previous years, we have selected a large number of teams to provide opportunities for as many members as possible to race as part of a relay team. Due to the event taking place during the school holidays, we understand some swimmers will not be around to take part.

If your child is unavailable on the above date, or does not wish to be selected, please let us know by return e-mail to Kevin.Schofield@leeds.gov.uk by 12:00 on Friday 10th January 2025.

Those selected will be notified via e-mail before Friday 24th February 2025.

2025 Club Registration Fees

Hi all,

Happy New Year!

Just a reminder that Club and Swim England fees can now be paid online through your City of Leeds My Membership account. In order to get to the checkout you must ensure all your details are up to date first. The system will accept only card payments, either debit card or credit card. Where 2 or more swimmers from one family are members, the system will give a total amount to pay and may not show the total amount against each child.

City of Leeds Club and Swim England fees for 2025 are as follows.

1st child in family (£120 Club/ £40.05 SE)

£160.05 (LX Card = £112.05)

2nd child in family (£70.00 Club/ £40.05 SE)

£110.05 (LX Card = £82.05)

3rd and further child in family (£45.00 Club/ £40.05 SE)

£85.05 (LX Card = £67.05)

Once again, all fees must to be paid by 31st January at the latest otherwise swimmers will be lapsed from the SE register and will not be eligible to train or compete.
