Training Changes - May

Hi All,

Please take note of the following changes to training during May due to bank holidays, pool bookings and competitions.

Regional Development
Monday 6th May Am:  07:00 - 09:00
Monday 6th May Pm:  No Training

Monday 27th May:  No Training

Regional Performance (NER Competitors)
Monday 6th May Am:  07:00 - 09:00
Monday 6th May Pm:  No Training

Friday 10th May Pm: 19:00 - 20:00 (Just 1 hour)

Saturday 11th May Am: No Training

Monday 13st May Am: Off (Only if you have competed over the weekend

Saturday 18th May:  06:00 - 07:30 (Underwater Hockey)

North Eastern Counties - Weekend 1

Next weekend is the first weekend of the big one for those qualifiers in Regional Performance.  Lets SMASH IT!!  

Remember use the walls to pick up speed not lose speed, every millisecond counts.  Pick up the effort every 50m and hold your technique when feeling tired. 

Just a reminder of the arrival times at Leeds next weekend.

Training Changes for Regional Performance (Swimmers who are not competing)
Saturday 11th May = 06:30 - 07:55


Regional Development training will be as normal on Friday and Saturday am.

Please make sure you all prepare well and stay hydrated over the weekend, it will be very hot on poolside.  Remember your snacks for poolside off the nutrition list.

Like Michael Phelps, you should plan in your head what you are going to do in your race.  Visualise your streamlining, kicks off the wall, not breathing last 5m etc and it will happen.  Thinking about it after the race is too late.
Training will be as normal for anyone not competing.

Regional Development are advised to enter their best events as this meet is not first come first serve.  Swimmers are likely to be rejected from their slower events should the meet become oversubscribed.


Regional Performance are advised not to enter any events you have raced at the Age Group NER's.

No Training This Evening

Apologises for the short notice, due to an incident in the pool (sickness) this morning there will be no swimming this evening.

 

Management have confirmed the pool will be back open in the morning for early morning training.
