Notice of 2025 Annual General Meeting

All members and parents are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the City of Leeds Swimming Club at 18:30 on the 3rd November in the Denison Suite.

Any proposals for change to the rules to be considered at the AGM must be received in writing by the Honorary Secretary.

Nominations are invited for both officer ship and supporter members of the City of Leeds Swimming Executive Committee and should be submitted to the Honorary Secretary. Nomination forms are available from the Club Chairman and must have the signatures of the nominee, proposer and seconder and all must be paid up members of the Club.

Please make every effort to attend the above meeting. This is your Club and the Annual General Meeting is your opportunity to hear from the Executive Committee about developments during the year and to put forward thoughts you may have about the future running of the Club or the way it is managed.

Swimmers with exemption certificates need to hand these in to Team Managers upon the arrival to poolside at the start of each individual session.

Officials/ Announcers/ Marshals

We are still very short of volunteers for all sessions. Any additional help would be appreciated. As well as a few more technical officials we particularly need more Marshalls and door staff.

We offer travelling expenses to all those assisting us at a Gala together with a meal, if working all day. If you have purchased a Spectator Ticket we will refund it!

NER Qualifiers & Entries

Entries for the North East Short Course Championships held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield on the 1st & 2nd November are now open online.

If you are still chasing qualifying times at the Yorkshires, please do not pay until you are happy with your selections. Any paid entries are un editable and races cannot be added on if you qualify for further races over the Yorkshire Championships.

Please click here to view current qualifiers and to see in which events. Any event with a white box means swimmers have qualified. There are 2 tabs on the spreadsheet, one for Open qualifiers and one for Age Group qualifiers . Some swimmers will have qualified in both, ONLY ENTER ONE COMPETITION based on the guidelines below.

Swimmers will be entered for only one competition.

Age Group Championships 2025 = Boys and Girls = 14 & Under, age at 31st December 2025)

Open Championships 2025 = Boys and Girls 15 & Over, age at 31st December 2025)

The North Eastern Counties is the highest level of competition in Regional Age Groups competition calendar, and you will be racing the best swimmers in the North East of England. Qualifying for the NER's is a big achievement and it would be good to see as many of you there as possible. Even if you have only qualified in one event you should go and compete. Swimmers are advised to enter ALL events they have qualified in.

Entries will close at 21:30 on Monday 20th October. Entries are not accepted and processed until payment is made, no late entries will be accepted.

This is due to the older Yorkshires taking place at John Charles.
