City of Leeds Christmas Cracker & Training Changes

Hi all,

The Leeds Xmas Meet is the last meet of 2025 and is at the end of the current training cycle, let's make it a good one. Concentrate on the skills you have learnt in training and put them into practice in the racing pool.

Please remember that it is City of Leeds policy that all swimmers must arrive 30 minutes prior to warm up starting. Failure to check in with the team managing staff 30 minutes before warm up will consequence in a withdrawal of all swims in that particular session.

We are delighted to be able to have 600 spectator tickets available. Tickets will be £5 per session and can be purchased here. There is the possibility of paying cash or card on the door too. Kids 12 and under go free.

The dive pit will be open after the first race each session including Friday PM.

Please ensure that swimmers have suitable footwear on whilst walking around, particularly up and down the balcony steps and especially when wet.

We will have a photographer working with us over the weekend who will be based out of the dance studio on the first floor. DE Photography are a well-established company and we are excited to be working with them.

MAK Swimwear will also be in attendance, they will be based in the dance studio too.

Our supporters committee will be on the door with plenty on the go, from a raffle to our ducky dip. Cash and card payments taken.

Thursday 11th December - 1500m Time Trial

Hi all,

Just a reminder that we will be doing a 1500m Time Trial for swimmers in Regional Development & Regional Performance on Thursday 11th December. So we can accommodate all swimmers, training will start at the earlier time of 5:00am for this session.

This will not be a normal session. Swimmers will perform a warmup, time trial and swim down. All swimmers are expected to stay and perform the coach prescribed swim down before they leave.

The 1500m time trial is a key indicator in testing the aerobic endurance of the swimmers.

ALL members who are 10 and over from Regional Performance should be in attendance. All members of Regional Development who attend Thursday mornings should also attend. Any swimmers who are racing the 800m or 1500m on Friday evening at the Christmas Cracker do not need to attend.

Junior League Parade 2025

Hi all,

On Monday 8th December at 18:30 we will host a parade to recognise the success of our Junior League Team at the Inter-League Final in Corby on Sunday 30th November.

All members of the team who represented the club's A Team in either the White Rose round or the Grand Final of the competition will receive a medal to recognise the role they have played.

Each member is therefore required to wear the Junior League T-shirt or a club T-shirt for the parade (Shorts may be worn too). The parade shouldn't take much longer than 15 minutes.
