White Rose League - Sat 22nd June & Training Changes

Hi All...

TRAINING CHANGES
Those swimmers from Regional Development & Regional Performance who are competing in the White Rose Junior League next Saturday will have morning training off to rest for the competition.

Swimmers who are not competing training will be 07:30 - 08:45.  This session will finish 15 minutes early to allow the staff to prepare the teams and make any last minute changes.

WHITE ROSE JUNIOR LEAGUE
Please ensure that your child arrives promptly at 08:30 to chack in with team managers.

A Team - Please check in with Kim, and Sam (Jacob Goodison's mum).  Your coaches will be Kevin and Craig.

B Team - Please check in with Harvey & Meron.  Your coaches will be Joe and Tom.

All swimmers should be wearing Team Kit, please ensure your child is wearing yellow to replicate the team colours as close as possible.  A polite notice to parents that if you are coming to support your team please also aim to wear club colours.  The City of Leeds Club Shop now sells yellow supporters T Shirts on a Monday evening for events like this, please make every effort to purchase one.  There is sometimes a prize for the best supporters.  Don't forget your hats, wigs, horns, face paints etc.  The louder you cheer the faster the swimmers will go!

Children will not be allowed to leave poolside, this is a fast and ferocious competition, team managers will not have time to hunt swimmers down from the balcony.  Therefore please ensure your children have appropriate food and hydration for the morning.

You are reminded that this is a TEAM event, and as such all members of the team will stay until the end.  Win or lose will show the integrity that our role models show and applaud our fellow competitors.

Swimmers please remember everything you have practised during training.  This will be a tough competition, every millisecond counts in an event like this so remember shallow dives, kick hard, get up and race hard and don't slow down into the finishes.  BE CAREFUL ON THE TAKEOVERS!!!! It os better to go late than early.  We need to grab every point we can, getting disqualified can cause the team to loose between 1 and 8 points, this we don't want.

The winning team will go through to the Northern Final held at John Charles on Sunday 6th October.

Good Luck Everyone!  We hope you have a fun, exciting and enjoyable day.
