Hi All,

Just a reminder that entries for the Winter Development Meet held at John Charles on Saturday 22nd January 2022 is now open online for entries.   Entries will close at 20:30 on Monday 13th December.

-  This is only for swimmers who are not old enough to take part in the Regional Competition Calendar (under 9 Years of age)

-  Swimmers should enter ALL events

- Click Enter Gala and follow the instructions

Barnsley Christmas Sprints Meet - Draft Programme

Work is currently taking place for the final arrangements so more information will follow in due course - including the seating plan, risk assessment and any Covid protocols / procedures that will be in place etc. 

Spectator tickets are now closed and will be given out by your squad coach once we have received them through the post.

Saturday 11th December - No Training (Squad Competing at Barnsley Sprints Meet, Sheffield)

Friday 17th December - No Training (City of Leeds Xmas Cracker, 800 & 1500m Events)

Saturday 18th December - No Training (Squad Competing at City of Leeds Xmas Cracker)

Monday 20th December - No AM Training (Recovery)

Barnsley Sprints Meet - Spectator Tickets

Please see the message below regarding spectating at the Barnsley Sprints Meet held at Ponds Forge on Saturday 11th December.

Due to the current restrictions at Ponds Forge we have taken the decision to allow only advance ticket sales for spectators for our Christmas Sprint Gala on 11^th December 2021 so that we know how many people will be attending.

At the current time Ponds Forge capacity should allow enough spectators and so we are not expecting a problem fulfilling all requests for tickets – if for any reason restrictions are tightened then we may have to limit numbers and we would do this on a pro rata basis based on how many swimmers you have entered and would refund any additional tickets.

Tickets for Leeds parents can now be purchased from the Gala entry page on your online accounts.  

Please log in to your account, click on Galas on the main menu, click on Enter Gala, click on Barnsley Sprint Meet Spectator Tickets.  

Each event charged at £10.00 = 1 spectator ticket.  

Due to covid and handling of cash this is the quickest and easiest way to make sure everyone can purchase a ticket in time.

Tickets will be on sale until 20:30 on Monday 29th November.

We have had no information through from Sheffield with regards to spectators yet, this will be sent out as and when we recieve it.  

Kevin is away for on annual leave from Friday 26th November to Monday 29th November.  Swimmers from Regional Development are to report to Craig Robertson on Saturday and Phoebe Parry on Sunday.

Yorkshire Long Course Qualifying Times 2022

Hi All,

Below is a link to the Long Course Yorkshire Qualifying Times for 2022.  Remember the aim is to qualify for the Yorkshires in as many events as possible before the City of Leeds Yorkshire entry date (Monday 10th January 2022).  Please bare this in mind when entering the upcoming competitions as I know some of you are very close.  Swimmers should then enter ALL EVENTS they have qualified for at the Yorkshire's as the competition is over three weekends. 

Please be aware that the last competition in our calendar to qualify for the Yorkshire's before the closing date is the City of Leeds New Year Meet.

Any times achieved Short Course will need to be converted to Long Course using the converter in the link below to see if you have achieved the long course qualifying time.

City of Leeds New Year Meet Entries

Hi All,

Entries for the City of Leeds New Year Meet held at John Charles on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th January are now open for entry online and will close for at 8:30pm on Monday 22nd November.  Please note entries will not be accepted until payment is completed.

This will be the last opportunity to qualify for the Yorkshire Long Course Championships 2022.  As the 2022 times are not yet published, please use the 2020 times as a guide.

With this in mind we advise swimmers to enter any events you are close to qualifying in.  Swimmers who have achieved Yorkshire times do not need to swim these events at the January Meet as you will be racing them in February, please focus on updating times in other races.

Autumn Development Meet

Hi All,

There will be no Saturday AM training for those swimmers in Regional Development who are competing in the Autumn Development Meet this weekend.

Swimmers are required to report to Joe Stott for this meet.

Spectating will be permitted at this competition.  Entry access to the balcony will be charged at £2.00.  This needs to be the exact change as we have been asked not to handle money, this reduces the risk of spreading of covid.  Card payments will not be available.

If there are any parents willing to help on the day, please email James Richards (James.Richards@leeds.gov.uk) and let him know of your availability.

This meet cannot run without the help of parent volunteers.
