City of Leeds B Grade Meet 2014

Hi All,

Just a reminder that entries for the City of Leeds B Grade Meet will be taken on the Monday's between 12th May and 2nd June. The aim of this meet is to achieve as many Winter Yorkshire qualifying times as possible. You should enter all events you have not got Yorkshire qualifying times in. Any events you have already achieved Yorkshire times in you do not need to enter. This meet is a great opportunity for all swimmers who attend Thursday mornings to attempt the 400m Freestyle.

Winter Yorkshire Qualifying Times 2014

Currently on our Regional Competition calendar there are four weekends of racing in May. We have come to the decision to just target the North Eastern's and the Leeds B Grade. This will give swimmers a better chance of racing well and achieving their Winter Yorkshire times. From previous experience the swimmers are unlikely to PB when competing four weekends in a row. Any swimmers who still wish to compete at Harrogate in June can do by entering through East Leeds.

Welsh Summer Nationals

Dear Parents

Welsh Summer Nationals is fast approaching.

In recognition of this we will be holding our presentation to inform you all of what is involved in the trip. This will be on Monday 19^th May at 6:30pm, in the Dug Out Bar of the Stadium building.

We apologise sincerely for the short notice, but the delay in the Meet information has prevented us from presenting any earlier (as we had heard rumours of changes being made to the event).

At the presentation we will cover:

· Qualifying

· Entries

· Cost

· Logistics

· Daily Schedules

· Medication

· Codes of conduct

The opening date for entries is Monday 2^nd June. There will be an online entry system that you personally will be required to enter through.

The City of Leeds Swimming Club will not perform this function. If you have difficulty doing this, please let Craig know as soon as possible and we can arrange for one of our team to help you through the process on the Monday night.

NER Age Group Championships 7/ 8 & 14/ 15 June

Hi All,

Entries for the North Eastern's will be taken on Monday 12th May. Swimmers should enter all events they have qualified for. This is one of the harder competitions in the Regional calendar to qualify for and anyone who has achieved a time (even if it is only in one event) should swim. This meet is a fantastic opportunity to compete against the fastest swimmers in the North East.

We will be available to sign forms after training on Friday, Sunday and Monday morning. We will be unable to sign forms on Monday pm as we will be coaching from 4.30pm onwards, so please get your forms signed early.

Anyone who competed at Harrogate and is unsure if they achieved an NER time can use the calculator below to convert your times from short course to long course:

Monday 5th May AM - 7:00 - 8.30 am (Under 10's in diving pit/ 11yrs + in 25 x 10m pool next to diving pit)
Monday 5th May PM - No Training On

National Arena League Grand Final

An early start saw the Team rise at the crack of dawn for the trip to Cardiff. The long haul didn't dampen their performances though, as they went on to beat last year's placing in the Grand Final.

An outstanding 8 First Places in 50 events, and a host of 2nd places ensured the Sharks battled to the finish. The Coaching team sends their heartfelt thanks to the Team Managers and officials who ensured the team's proficiency on the day
