Swimmers do not need to race any events at the New Year meet they have achieved Yorkshire times in.  Swimmers should focus on events they are close to Yorkshire times in or have never done before.

Development Meet Volunteers

Hi All,

Hope you are all well.

We are looking for volunteers for the upcoming Development Gala Saturday 10th November.

We are looking for time keepers, help with marshalling and someone to help with the medals. Marshalling is to help get the swimmers in order for their races.

If you could please help, we need a total of 30 volunteers to help the gala run smoothly, without the help of volunteers galas like this struggle to run.

We really appreciate your help, don't worry the team will look after you.

Vicki Spencer would love to hear from you.  Please let her know if you are able to help on this email address (Vickispencer@hotmail.com)

Thank you in advance.

Regional Development - City of Leeds Christmas Cracker Entries

Hi All,

A great job at the weekend from everyone.  The squad achieved 169 PB's out of 196 Swims and an amazing 56 more Yorkshire Qualifying Times

Just a reminder that it is the City of Leeds Christmas Cracker entries on Monday 5th November in the Denison Suite.

I have now put a link to the squads PB's onto the blog after the weekend.

Regional Development PB's

Please remember the focus is to achieve as many Yorkshire qualifying times as possible by the end of the January Meet.  If you have already got a Yorkshire time in an event you do not need to enter it until the Yorkshires, please focus on events you have not already qualified in or events you have not swum before.

There are now some swimmers very close to Yorkshire times.  You may want to enter the ones you are close to at both the Christmas and New Year Meets so you have a backup swim.

See you all on Friday night.

City of Leeds Xmas Meet Entries

Hi All,

Please remember entries for the City of Leeds Xmas Meet (15th & 16th December) will be taken on Monday 5th November.

Try and plan your events wisely so you are not repeating the same events 3 weeks later at the New Year Meet.

If you have already qualified for the Yorkshire's or NER's in an event then we strongly advise focusing on obtaining times in other events.   You will get chance to swim your best events at the Yorkshire Championships in February.  I would strongly advise entering the 200m Individual Medley and also update your 50m Freestyle and your best 50m form stroke for selection into the Yorkshire teams in February.

Regional Development
Below is a link to your PB's.  Focus on racing the events you are closest to Yorkshire times in at the December Meet.  All swimmers should enter the 200m IM at either the Christmas or New Year meet.  If you have never swum an event before try and fill as many blank boxes by the end of the January New Year Meet.
Try and plan so you have no more than 2 events per session unless you are swimming a 50 in which case 3 events per session maximum.
Thursday Am swimmers and the swimmers who I have spoken to please enter the 400m Freestyle and 400m IM over the two meets.

Regional Performance

Focus on racing the events you are closest to Yorkshire times or NER's  in at the December Meet.  Enter secondary events at the New Year meet.  All swimmers should enter the 200m IM at either the Christmas or New Year meet.
Try and plan so you have no more than 2 events per session unless you are swimming a 50 in which case 3 events per session maximum.

Here is a link to work out times for events you have never swum before;
