Harrogate Spa Town Entries - Extra

Hi All,

I currently have 47 spaces left of the 400 available entries. These 47 spaces are now open for anyone who wants to enter any additional events at the Harrogate Spa Town Meet. Entries for these extra swims will be filled on a first come first serve basis and immediate payment will need to be made by BACS into the club account should you be successful.

Entries for extra swims will close at 12:00 on Tuesday 28^th January or when the 47 spaces are filled.

Welsh Summer Open Meet

Dear Parent,

The window of opportunity to express your interest in your child swimming at the Welsh Summer Open Meet is now open. This window will close on Friday 7th February.

The Welsh Summer Open Meet runs from Thursday 30th July until Monday 3rd August. The team bus will travel to Swansea on Wednesday 29th July and return on Tuesday 4th August.

This competition acts as an excellent platform for preparing Junior Athletes for life away from home at Swimming Camps and long challenging competitions.

This opportunity is presented to children in National Squad, National Age Group, Junior Performance and Regional Performance who meet the eligible age for competition, which are 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 & over (as of 31^st December 2020).

Please note that for the time being this is simply an 'expression of interest'. Swimmers must meet the qualifying times published by Swim Wales in order to enter the competition. The cost of the Welsh Summer Meet will be confirmed on the presentation evening which will include travel, accommodation, food and staffing. The cost of swimming events must be entered individually. There will be further communication when this is due.

Winter Development Meet Success

Sports Awards Ticket Reminder

Hi All,

Just a reminder that money for Sports Awards tickets is due in to the Entries Team in the Denison Suite on Monday 27^th January for those who wish to attend.

Anyone who is not able to attend on Monday 27^th January can pass ticket money to Kevin Schofield in a named envelope before this date. Please state if you have any dietary requirements, along with all the guests names you are bringing in your party (this is important for the table placings).

Swimmers who represented the Junior League A Team = £20.00 (Discounted form City of Leeds Swimming Club)

City Sports Club Members - £50.00

Yorkshire Team Championships 2020

Hi All,

Please see below, the team selections for the forthcoming Yorkshire Team Championships. This event will take place on Sunday 23rd February 2020 at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield. Please can the following swimmers confirm their availability to the coach below looking after your age group by Friday 31st January.

Please note, team selections were made prior to the Winter Development Meet and performances at the individual events within the Yorkshire Championships will not be considered when allocating swimmers to teams.

Yorkshire Championships Arrival Times

Hi All,

We are looking forward to seeing some fast racing over the next few weekends. The turns are looking great at the moment, make sure you transfer them into your race. Remember use the walls to pick up speed not loose speed, every millisecond counts. I know some of you have got close to your pb's in training over the last few weeks which suggests you are ready to race well at the Yorkshires.

Just a reminder of the arrival times at John Charles for both weekends of Yorkshires.

Friday 31st January - 7.00 - 8.00 pm (Just 1 hour and no land training for those swimmers racing in the Yorkshire's next weekend)
