Please note the following update regarding the festival of Swimming event which is taking place at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield on 31st July and 1st August 2021.

Yorkshire Festival of Swimming UPDATE & Additional Entries Opportunity

Hi All,

Please see the information in the link below which we were asked to pass on regarding the Swim Festival at Ponds Forge, Sheffield on 31st July & 1st August.

Festival of Swimming Update

In essence the document makes three major statements:

Sheffield City Trust have imposed a Capacity Limit on Ponds Forge which means we cannot have Spectators at the event. Clearly this is not ideal.
We do have some limited space available, so we have reopened the entry system, with revised qualifying standards, and are accepting additional entries from swimmers.
We still need to recruit more officials, or the meet cannot take place.

I am informed that the Cafe in the foyer, will be open, for parents to obtain a drink etc when they drop off their swimmer.

There will also be a Ness Swimwear shop selling event Merchandise.

This situation is not what we wanted but we must work within the Capacity limits we are given.

As they have reopened for additional entries, Leeds will be opening the online system to take entries for anyone that has qualified for additional events from the Level X over the weekend, or for anyone who now qualifies in additional events following the adjusted qualifying times attached.

To add and pay for additional events please follow the instructions below.

To make entry into the competition

- Swimmers must arrive race ready as there will be no changing facilities available.

- Swimmers can leave the building after their last race in each session.

- All swimmers must leave the building after the morning session so cleaning can take place.

- Once a swimmer has left the building, they will only be able to re-enter at their allocated time slot for the pm session.
