Competition Protocol

Hi All,

Please can we ask that parents support the coaches and team managers in the correct protocol at competitions.  The City of Leeds policy is for swimmers to see their coach before their race, compete, return to their coach, SWIM DOWN and then report back to the Team Managing staff who will then decide if there is enough time for swimmers to see parents.

If swimmers have a valid reason to withdraw from an event (such as illness of injury) and have discussed this with their coach please email  leedsentries@gmail.com before the start of the session.

Please could you also remind your child about behaviour in the marshalling area.  We have had a number of complaints from the marshalling staff.  If the marshalling staff have to remove your child from the marshalling area for bad behaviour your child could be removed from the rest of the competition.

Your help in this would be much appreciated.

Welsh Summer Championships 2019 - Entry Reminder!!!

Hi All,

Just a final reminder that the Open Meet entry system will open Thursday 27th June at 9:00am. This entry system is an online system and lanes will be on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Swimmers (Parents) must enter themselves. The meet is held over 5 days and as there is no guarantee to the events you will be accepted in we advise swimmers to enter ALL events that they qualify in. As this is always a particularly busy meet, we cannot stress how important it is that entries are made as soon as it opens on Thursday at 9:00am.

Please find below a Guide to entering events for Welsh Summer Nationals via the online entry system.

Online Entry Guide

To ensure successful entries please go to the link below just before 09:00am, and follow the guide. Ensure you have your bank details available as your entries are not accepted until the payment goes through.

Here is some advice from Swim Wales given to us in past years;

We are aware of issues regarding the open entry page, please see the following points to avoid the system crashing:

- Do not refresh the page, once you search for your swimmer and the page 'freezes' to load you have been placed in a quee, each time you press refresh you are re-added to the back of the quee! This is often the cause of site crashes.

- The event is popular and spaces are limited, however most traffic on the morning of entries opening is due to users refreshing the page, there is however no guarantee that the event will have spaces.

- The system is not managed by Swim Wales, and unfortunately the office is unable to support phone calls regarding technical issues, please be patient with the system.

Good Luck
