Training Changes - April 2022

Hi all,

Please take note of the following changes to training for the Regional Squads during April due to pool bookings and competitions.

Regional Development

Saturday 1st April - No Training (Squad competing at Hull)

Monday 3rd April - No AM Training (Recovery after Hull)

Friday 7th April - 9:15 - 10:45am (Good Friday), (JCCS, Middle Pool)

Saturday 8th April - 7:30 - 9:00am (JCCS, Dive Pit)

Monday 10th April - 9:15 - 10:45am (Easter Monday), (JCCS, Middle Pool)

Friday 14th April - No Training (City of Leeds Nationla Qualifier taking place at JCCS)

Saturday 15th April - 6:00 - 7:30am (JCCS, Long Course)

Friday 21st April - 6:30 - 07:30pm (Just 1 hour, NER swimmers), normal for rest of squad.

Saturday 22nd April - No Training NER swimmers, normal for rest of squad.

Spring Development Meet

Hi all,

There will be no Saturday AM training for those swimmers in Regional Development who are competing in the Spring Development Meet this weekend.

If there are any parents willing to help out on the day, please email Anna Darnell (anna.darnell79@gmail.com) and let her know of your availability. This meet cannot run without the help of parent volunteers.

Winter Yorkshires 2023

Hi all,

The qualifying times are now out for the Winter Short Course Yorkshires. Swimmers should aim to achieve as many qualifying times as possible before the closing date. The Leeds closing date for entries into this competition will be Monday 18^th September.

Friday 31^st March - 18:30 -19:30 (Just 1 hour) - Those swimmers not competing in the 400m races

Saturday 1^st April - No Training (Squad competing in Hull or at City of Leeds Spring Development Meet)

Withdrawals

Any withdrawals must be sent through to kuhscopenmeets@gmail.com prior to the competition.

Please could parents take the time to go though the guidance document for this weekends competition with your child. This can be found here.

Please also emphasise with your child that any bad behavior will be raised with the lead referee – this may have an impact on competitors and clubs attending including the hosting club!

ASANER Age Group Championships 2023

Hi All,

Entries for the North Eastern Counties are now open and will close at 9:30pm on Monday 3rd April. Swimmers are advised to enter ALL events they have qualified for. This is the biggest competition in the Regional competition calendar and one of the hardest to qualify for. Anyone who has achieved a time (even if it is only in one event) should race. This meet is a fantastic opportunity to compete against the fastest swimmers in the North East.

Held at Sunderland Aquatics Centre on 22nd/ 23rd April and 13th/, 14th May

Open to swimmers aged 11 yrs + (Age at 31st December 2023)

*Qualifying times must have been achieved no earlier than 1st September 2021 & be downloaded from the British Swimming Rankings. Converted Times will be accepted using the ASA Equivalent Performance Tables. Times set in Level 4 Meets or Level X will not be accepted.
