RAG Xmas Training

Hi All,

We would just like to say a big thank you for all the wonderful Christmas gifts and cards we received from you all. We hope you all have a great Xmas and are looking forward to coming back to training after the short break.

Well done for all the fantastic swimming this year. Here is a reminder of when Training is on over Christmas and the New Year.

Yorkshire Entries

Please remember entries will be taken on Monday 8th January. The Yorkshire Championships is one of the biggest competitions in the Regional Squads calendar and therefore swimmers should enter ALL races they have achieved a qualifying time in. For some swimmers it may look like you have a lot of events to swim when you fill your forms in, however the meet is spread across three weekends so you won't have to swim everything all in one go.

Hope you all have a great Xmas, go see you friends and family, play with your toys and have a well deserved break before starting the block of work leading up to the Yorkshire's in the new year.

We hope Santa visits you all.

Yorkshire SA Championships & Yorkshire SA Sprints Championships Entries 2018

Hi All,

Entries for the Yorkshire Championships will be taken on Monday 8th January.

The Yorkshire Championships is one of the biggest competitions in the Regional Squads calendar and therefore swimmers should enter ALL races they have achieved a qualifying time in. For some swimmers it may look like you have a lot of events to swim when you fill your forms in, however the meet is spread across three weekends so you won't have to swim everything all in one go.

We will start signing forms from tonight. Please remember we will not be able to sign forms on Monday evening as we will be coaching from 4.30pm on wards. Please try your best to get your forms to us before a Monday night.

Converted times from short course are allowed. Some of you may need to use the converter below to see if your short course times converted to long course are a Yorkshire Qualifying time.

Yorkshire Relay Selection

Hi All,

Please could you email Kevin Schofield (kevin.schofield@leeds.gov.uk) if you are unable to swim on Sunday 25th February in the Yorkshire Relays should you be selected. This will reduce a significant amount of time in terms of team selection if we already know you are not available to swim on this date.

1500m Time Trial

Hi All,

We will be doing a 1500m Time Trial again on Thursday 21^st December. This will not be a normal session. Swimmers will perform a warm up, time trial, swim down and then they can leave. The 1500m time trial is a key indicator in testing the endurance of the swimmers. ALL members who are 10 and over from Regional Performance should be in attendance. All members of Regional Development who attend Thursday mornings should also attend. Any parents who are free to hep lap count please make yourselves available on Thursday morning.

Regional Xmas Party

Hi All,

Just a reminder that is the Regional Xmas party on Tuesday 19th December. The party will take place at Oxygen Free Jumping Trampoline Park at Cardigan Fields, Kirkstall. The party will start at 19:00 and will end at 20:45. Please try and arrive 10 minutes early.

Please note that this is not an official City of Leeds outing and therefore coaches will not be responsible for swimmers whilst at Oxygen Trampoline Park. Any volunteer parents who would like to help out it would be greatly appreciated. Please see Kim if you are available.

Junior League Parade

Hi All,

On Monday 18th December at 19:15 we will host a parade to recognise the success of our Junior League Team at the Inter-League Final in Corby on Sunday 26th November.

All members of the team who represented the club's A Team in either round 1, 2 or 3 of the competition will receive a medal and certificate to recognise the role they have played.

Each member is therefore required to wear the Junior League T-shirt or a Yellow club kit T-shirt for the parade (Shorts may be worn too). The parade shouldn't take much longer than 15-20 minutes.

The Club is still waiting to receive medals for those swimmers who contributed to the team qualifying for the final and we apologise in advance that only swimmers who competed in the final will be awarded with medals on the parade night.
