COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS

It is a requirement for all those competing at the above competition to complete a Health Declaration form prior to the event. This can be completed via Google Forms at the following link:

https://forms.gle/zUD6UdpMoSErzPet6 (Please ensure that you complete a separate form for each family member attending)

You are also advised to undertake a lateral flow test at least three days before you are due to attend the event. If the test result is positive, you must not attend the meet and should book a PCR test at the earliest opportunity.

Please complete the Health Declaration before 15:00 on Friday 10^th September 2021.

Swim England North East Regional Championships (25m) 2021

For information in respect of the Swim England North East Regional Swimming Championships (25m) which are due to take place on the 6th & 7th November 2021 at Ponds Forge, Sheffield please see below details.

I am conscious that we have not yet published full details for the Swim England North East Regional Swimming Championships (25m) which are due to take place on the 6th & 7th November 2021 at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

This concerns both the Open & Age Group Championships which are normally swum in adjacent 25m pools.

As most will be aware Ponds Forge imposed a capacity limit, when it reopened after the last lockdown, of 440 within the Pool Hall. Hence there were no Spectators permitted at the recent Festival of Swimming Event.

That capacity limit is still in force. Air quality tests are to be carried out at the two Level 3 Meets over the weekend of 18th/19th September to determine if the capacity limit can be safely increased. Until the results of these tests are known we are unable to publish final details of the Short Course Championships.

We will be accepting times from meets Licensed at Levels 1 to 4.

I realise that this is not an ideal situation. We are hopeful that both meets can take place.

You can be assured that we will publish further details once we have a decision from Ponds Forge. I would recommend that any bookings made for accommodation at Sheffield are on a refundable basis. The Region will not be held responsible for any costs incurred if one, or both, of the Championships are postponed or cancelled.

Hi All,

Just a friendly reminder that now we are back into the swing of things after the Summer Break, all members of Regional Development and Regional Performance (Aged 9 years+) should be attending one early morning (Mon/ Thu) as agreed before taking up placement in the squad.

This will hopefully maximise your swimmer's potential and give them the best possible chance of meeting the squad criteria by the end of the January New Year Meet. This competition will be the last chance to qualify for the Long Course Yorkshire Championships 2022.

Remember consistency week in week out is the key to success and swimmers who have to miss a session should try where possible to make up.

*Please note for entries to be accepted you must make payment through the online entry system. BACS payments to the City of Leeds Swimming Club account are only for any approved late entries.

Equipment

Please can you ensure that your child has the required training equipment. Here's a quick reminder of what is needed:

· Fins

· Snorkel

· Pullbuoy

· Paddles

· Kickboard

· Drinks Bottles

· Spare Cap & Goggles

Most of this equipment is available on a Monday evening in the Club shop which is due to reopen in October. If you require a replacement STS Cap, you can purchase one from the Aquatics Centre Reception (you will need to keep the receipt and pass it to Sharon Barraclough or your squad coach, so that they can give you the cap).

Notice of Annual General Meeting

All members and parents are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the City of Leeds Swimming Club on 11th October 2021 at 6:30pm.

Any proposals for change to the rules will be considered at the AGM and must be received in writing by the Honorary Secretary.

Nominations are invited for both officership and support members of the City of Leeds Swimming Executive Committee and should be submitted to the Honorary Secretary. Nomination forms are available from the Honorary Secretary and must have the signatures of the nominee, proposer, and seconder and all must be paid up members of the Club.

Please make every effort to attend the above meeting. This is your Club, and the Annual General Meeting is your opportunity to hear from the Executive Committee about developments during the year and to put forward thoughts you may have about the future running of the Club or the way it is managed.

Please be aware that only fully paid-up members of the Club are eligible to vote at the AGM.
