Yorkshire Relay Team Championships 2022 - Team Selection

Good Afternoon,

Please see below links to the team selections for the forthcoming Yorkshire Team Championships 2022. This event will take place on Sunday 27^th February 2022 at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield. Full event information is available to view on the Yorkshire Swimming website (www.yorkshireswimming.org).

There are two attachments, please check both. Some individuals have been selected to compete in their own individual age group and also the 'Open' age group which could mean that these individuals will be racing across both the AM and PM sessions. All team selections have been made in accordance with the respective relay team selection policy, which is available to download on the club's website (www.swimleeds.org.uk).

Please note, team selections were made from rankings after the Winter Development Meet and performances at the individual events within the Yorkshire Championships will not be considered when allocating swimmers to teams.

Those selected must confirm availability to compete in this event, via return e-mail to swimming.training.scheme@leeds.gov.uk before Friday 18^th February 2022.

Should you wish to spectate at this event, you will need to purchase tickets in advance. These will be available to purchase online at https://www.swimmingresults.org/. Tickets go on sale at 10:00 on Monday 14^th February 2022 and will undoubtedly sell fast.

Yorkshires - Weekend 2

Hi All,

Please find below a link to the Final Instructions for the Championships this coming weekend at Leeds.

Please remember it is City of Leeds policy to arrive and check in with Team Managing staff 30 minutes prior to your sessions warm up time.

To accommodate a Warm Up for all swimmers, the start of the Sunday Morning Session has been put back to 9-20am.

The afternoon session is still scheduled to start at 2-30pm.

A Re-Entry system will be used for the Mixed Sex 1500m Freestyle. Swimmers must confirm that they intend to swim with the Team Managing staff before the start of the session, failure to do so will mean you will be withdrawn from the event.

Yorkshires Seating Plan

The poolside plan for this weekend's Gala can be viewed below. Clubs have been allocated an area which should accommodate all their swimmers and staff.

The Saturday morning session has the largest number of athletes. Things should be easier to manage for all the other sessions.

It has been agreed with the Pool Management that the largest club, City of Leeds, should be allocated the area around the Diving Pit.

I appreciate that it is late in the day and can assure you that ample copies will be displayed at the venue.

I hope all your swimmers and staff have a safe journey to Leeds.
