City of Leeds Xmas Meet Entries
Please remember entries for the City of Leeds Xmas Meet (21st & 22nd December) will be taken on Monday 4th November.
Try and plan your events wisely so you are not repeating the same events 3 weeks later at the New Year Meet.
If you have already qualified for the Yorkshire's or NER's in an event then we strongly advise focusing on obtaining times in other events. You will get chance to swim your best events at the Yorkshire Championships in February. I would strongly advise entering the 200m Individual Medley and also update your 50m Freestyle and your best 50m form stroke for selection into the Yorkshire teams in February.

Focus on racing the events you are closest to Yorkshire times or NER's in at the December Meet. Enter secondary events at the New Year meet. All swimmers should enter the 200m IM at either the Christmas or New Year meet.

Chester-le-Street Meet 2019
Chester-le-Street Update
We are writing to you with a further update with regards to the 9 year olds competing at the Chester-le-Street Meet this weekend.
Unfortunately Chester-le-Street have confirmed that there was an error with their entry system and as a result no 9 year olds were processed for entry. Despite advertising the gala as open to children 9 years and over the meet management were unwilling to include 9 year olds after this processing error.
We have raised the issue with the Regional Licensing Manager for British Swimming, who is currently investigating this issue.
We are as disappointed with this decision as you are, as we were keen to see our youngsters compete at this competition and felt that this was a good opportunity to practice racing short course before the Junior League Grand Final. We appreciate many of you will have made accommodation and travel arrangements for this competition in advance. The City of Leeds Swimming Club will issue refunds for entries only and will be unable to compensate for lost monies relating to travel and accommodation. These will be available as soon as we receive them from Chester-le-Street.
Any complaints should be directed to Chester-le-Street, the meet hosts, via email at the following address galaentries@chesterlestreetasc.co.uk
Apologies once again for the negative experience. Alternative arrangements will be made for future years.
