Junior League Final

Just a few last minute messages before Sunday.

Tattoos
Due to the very tight schedule in Corby on Sunday we ask that all swimmers who want to wear tattoos to please apply them before arriving at John Charles on Sunday morning. Please see Dane Whittleston if you do not already have some shark tattoos.

Racing Suits

There will be only 10 minutes to get changed into team kit and be ready in the changing village for the parade. Due to this swimmers will need to change into their racing suits before the warm up. Swimmers are advised to keep their hat and goggle on them at all times or zipped up in their bag. The competition is going to be very fast and we do not want a team missing their race because of lost hats and goggles.

Car Parking at John Charles

The John Charles Aquatics Centre will be open until 5:00pm on Sunday due to an event that is taking place. Parents are advised to park in the long stay car park. The car park at the front of the Aquatics Centre is a maximum of 3 hours parking. Leaving your car in the short stay car park may result in you receiving a parking ticket and also your car could be locked in until 4:45 on Monday morning.

Junior League Tickets Reminder

Just a reminder that tonight will be the last night to purchase spectator tickets from Kim Mathias for the Junior League Grand Final.

After tonight any remaining tickets will be put into the draw for those parents who have asked for an extra ticket.

If you wish to travel by car then this is acceptable however the price of the ticket remains £25.00. You will not be able to enter the venue until you have received your ticket, which will not be given out until the Athlete's bus arrives at the venue.

You are reminded that if you do take your own vehicle, all athletes must return on the bus with the team.

Please ensure you are in Leeds to meet your child following the return journey. If this won't be possible, it will be your responsibility to communicate with the Team Manager or another adult/parent who can care for your child.

City of Leeds New Year Meet Entries

Hi All,

Just a reminder that entries for the City of Leeds New Year Meet held at John Charles on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th January will be taken in the Denison Suite on Monday 25th November.

This will be the last opportunity to qualify for the Yorkshire Long Course Championships 2020 before the closing date.

With this in mind we advise swimmers to enter any events you are close to qualifying in. Swimmers who have achieved Yorkshire times do not need to swim these events at the January Meet as you will be racing them in February, please focus on updating times in other races.

ASANER Qualifying Times 2020 - Long Course Champs

Hi All,

Here is a link to the new North Eastern Qualifying Times (Long Course) for April/ May 2020.

ASANER Qualifying Times 2020 Long Course Championships

The North Eastern Counties is the highest level of competition in the Regional Squads competition calendar and swimmers (Aged 11 years + - 31st December 2020) should try to achieve as many qualifying times as possible. The last chance to qualify for this meet will be the Harrogate Spa Town Meet on 28th & 29th March.

Entries will be taken on Monday 30th March 2020.

Get chasing those times.

Easy Fundraising

The City of Leeds Swimming Club are always looking for new ways to raise funds to support our swimmers. The Club is registered with Easy Fundraising.

Easyfundraising.org.uk helps charities, schools, sports clubs, community groups, and other good causes to raise money when their supporters shop on line. So far they have raised over £3 million for causes throughout the UK.

It works in a similar way to many other loyalty shopping sites, but instead of earning points when you shop, you raise a donation for City of Leeds Swimming Club instead. It's as simple as that!

I am sure with Christmas fast approaching most of us will be doing our shopping on line, so please register with easy fundraising, it really is a very simple way to boost funds for the club.

Junior League Tattoos

Hi All,

I hope you are all excited and looking forward to competing in Corby on Sunday 24th November. In preparation for the Junior League Northern Final Dane Whittleston will be selling shark tattoos. Tattoos can be purchased 2 for £1 from Monday 18^th. We will also have some tattoos to sell on the morning of the Grand Final. Due to the tight Schedule when we arrive we advise swimmers to apply their tattoos before we depart for Corby.

Junior League Grand Final 2019 - Spectator Tickets

Hi All,

Thank you for confirming your child's place at the Junior League Grand Final 2019.

The club has been granted a total number of 48 tickets. Parents will be guaranteed one ticket per swimmer. These will be priced at £25.00 each and includes the coach journey to and from Corby.

Please ensure that you have the required amount of cash to pay Kim Mathias by Monday 18th November. If you do not wish to purchase a ticket or you would like an extra one please inform Kim Mathias. Any extra tickets will be put into a draw on Monday 18th November.

Junior League Supporters T Shirts

Hi All,

I hope you are all looking forward to the Grand Final. The Club will be putting on a supporters bus for this competition. Details of this will be sent out on Thursday.

On the day we would not only like to be the best team in the water but have the best supporters on the balcony. With this in mind it would be great if all supporters could come to the competition wearing team kit or team colours. If any of you would like to purchase a City of Leeds supporters T Shirt for the Junior League Grand Final these are now available in the club shop on a Monday night.

Junior League Grand Final 2019

Congratulations,

Your child has been selected to swim for the City of Leeds at the Inter-Junior League Grand Final in Corby on Sunday 25^th November. Please find the team roster below.

Please could you confirm your child's availability for this event to Kevin Schofield (kevin.schofield@leeds.gov.uk) no later than Monday 11th November at 5:00pm

Kim Mathias will be our lead Team Manager and will be coordinating logistics and tickets in due course.

Of course more information will follow in the days to come but for now well done to those swimmers on their selection.
