Welsh Summer Open Meet 2022 - Day 2

Day 2 brought a day of strong performances from The City of Leeds Swimmers with a total of 24 Finals Swims (17 converting from the heats) taking 7 medals away from the pool. We achieved 2 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals and 2 Bronze medals with an overall 69 PB's out of 102 Swims. Brilliant Effort ! Our current Medal Tally stands at: 2 Golds, 7 Silvers and 8 Bronze's. Amazing Work.

At this evening's Team Talk, the highlights were:

- Great team effort with Sportsmanship. Cheering on a City of Wakefield swimmer in a final, making him feel welcome sat with us.

- Mia Travis-Jones. Impressive final swims and medal!

- Aira Wilkinson. Team Player. Helping another individual who was feeling unwell.

- Ava Bradley. Controlled emotions really well. Race didn't go to plan but reacted positively and smiley!
