Welsh Summer Open Meet - Day 1

The City of Leeds team have arrived safely and settled into Wales life and are off to a encouraging start in the pool achieving 70 PB's out of 99 Swims on the first day. We had 27 final swims of which 21 converted their times from heat to final. The team came away with 4 Silver and 6 Bronze medals. An impressive start to the week!

At the Evening Team Talk after dinner tonight, Phoebe discussed some Highlights of the Day. They were:

Female 1500's. Very impressive swims, using their race plans and all medallists.
12 Yrs 200m I.M Final – 5 out of 8 swimmers were from City of Leeds.
Matilda Potter – 3 x back-to-back finals, using mental strength and giving it her all.
Arthur Owens – Best 'I Can' Attitude. Converted from Heat to Final. Produced a medal.
Annabelle Hart – Being Resilient. Coming back from an injury and producing a medal.

Well Done to All. 👍

The Swimmers have enjoyed some social time at the field this evening, before an early night ready for the day ahead.
